New Website Connects Leaders in Rockland County

Liqui-Site launches responsive website for Leadership Rockland program

(Nyack, NY) January 16, 2014 – Liqui-Site Designs, Inc. announced today the launch of a new website for Leadership Rockland – a not-for-profit organization that offers existing and emerging leaders in government, business and non-profit sectors an educational experience focused on the infrastructure of Rockland County, New York.

Since its first graduating class in 1991, more than 600 individuals have participated in Leadership Rockland. The program consists of 11 daylong sessions over a 10-month period with leading experts, designed to engage and challenge participants to examine issues and seek solutions for a better self and a better Rockland County. Participants gain insight and understanding of the many facets that make up Rockland County and network with leaders from business, government, not-for-profit and various other sectors.

The theme for 2013-2014 is “The Changing Faces of Rockland”. Program sessions cover Leadership Skills; Historical Rockland; Environment; Multicultural Communities; Education and Developing Human Capital; Economic Impact and Development, Criminal Justice and Public Safety; Healthcare and Emergency Services; Arts, Culture, Media and Communications.

Liqui-Site was responsible for the custom design and responsive development of a new Leadership Rockland website, implemented on the WordPress platform, at www.leadershiprockland.org. The fluid site provides a flawless user experience across all devices, catering to the organization’s newest demographic of young professionals. The application can be completed entirely online, streamlining administrative processes. And for the first time, the organization will be able to receive tuition payment, donations, corporate sponsorship, and event registration and payment to support its programs.

A number of custom features promote the organization’s commitment to networking and community building: A fully searchable alumni directory enables visitors to browse and connect with program graduates across all graduation years and areas of expertise. A new marketing campaign, “I am Leadership Rockland”, highlights alumni success stories, while a blog presents important policy updates, issues affecting Rockland County, and alumni news. Integrated social media, an email list signup and a robust events calendar amplify the organization’s recruitment and operational efforts.

Liqui-Site Designs, Inc. President and CRO, Kelly Campbell, is herself a graduate of the 2012-13 Leadership Rockland program and currently serves on the Leadership Rockland Board of Directors as Class of 2013 Representative. Campbell said, “The program itself – and the experience since graduation – has been tremendously beneficial for me both personally and professionally. And I’m proud to have the opportunity to give back by offering my firm’s services in order to develop a new brand and web presence for Leadership Rockland.”

“Our emerging leaders are not satisfied with the status quo and wish to move toward improvement of all aspects of our community. And Leadership Rockland provides the vessel through which change can be fostered. That is all well and good. The new website will serve our mission and accommodate our goal through seamless communication within and beyond Leadership Rockland,” said Jan Degenshein, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
