Tobacco-Free Resource Reaches Mobile Audience

Liqui-Site launches responsive website for Tobacco Free New York State

(Nyack, NY) November 6, 2014– Liqui-Site Designs, Inc. announced today the re-launch of the Tobacco Free New York State website, making the organization’s website responsive to visitors from tablet and mobile devices.

Tobacco Free NYS is a network of Advancing Tobacco Free Communities grants funded by the NYS DOH Tobacco Control Program working to change the community environment to support New York State’s tobacco-free norm. The organization works to educate community leaders and the public about the dangers and social costs of tobacco; engage local stakeholders to adopt policies that will restrict tobacco industry presence; de-normalize tobacco use; and eliminate secondhand smoke.

Liqui-Site designed the original Tobacco Free NYS website in 2009 before the emergence of responsive website design (RWD) as a best practice in digital marketing. Responsive design ensures that the website maintains optimal display and functionality across all devices, including but not limited to desktop and laptop computers, iPads and other tablets, eBook readers and smartphones. With so many people using mobile devices as their primary means of finding information online, the move to responsive design allows the organization to reach a wider audience, as well as target a younger demographic that especially benefits from awareness of tobacco-free initiatives.

Tobacco Free NYS is one of several tobacco-free community partnerships of the American Lung Association of the Northeast that utilize Liqui-Site’s responsive web design and digital marketing service.
